Content Suggestions

  • Gender Pay Gap Impact by State
Once you’ve read it, share what AAUW is doing in your state! Distribute printed copies at upcoming meetings, include a link in your next branch or state newsletter, or even add your state impact list to your website.
  • Nominating Committee Application
The 2015 AAUW National Election just ended, but your name could be on the ballot in 2017. If you’ve never considered running for the AAUW Board of Directors, you should! And now’s the time to start preparing.
Candidates tend to have leadership experience and expertise within and outside AAUW, so you can start honing and adding to your skills right now. You can also familiarize yourself with and get involved in AAUW programs and issues in your community. It often helps to have been a leader within your AAUW branch or state organization, though it’s not a requirement.
  • The Cherokee Rose Book Discussion
Does your branch have a book club? Are you a member of the ¡Adelante! Book of the Month Club? This would make the perfect piece for your group to join with other AAUW members nationwide. (The link contains a discussion question submission.) Join AAUW for our first book discussion with former AAUW grantee and MacArthur Genius Grant winner Tiya Miles, author of The Cherokee Rose. (Bonus: The link contains info on our Good Reads group for more suggestions.)
